SUMMARY:

To ensure efficiencies in a safe working environment and that orders to the customers are filled and delivered as accurately and efficiently as possible.  Professionally interact with the processing plant to insure an adequate supply of clean linen for the hospital users.  Manage the daily activities of Drivers and Depot personnel to insure material movement is timely, cost-effective and in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations.  The primary focus is to manage Transportation, Shipping/Receiving through distribution collaboration. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years management experience
  • High School diploma required, Bachelors degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
  • History of exhibiting initiative, responsibility, flexibility, leadership and accountability
  • Spanish language skills a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads all aspects of operational efficiencies at the depot level and delivery of linens.
  • Manages the staff of the depot
  • Coordinating cost effective and efficient operations of the depot.
  • Responsible for insuring the appropriate human resources requirements are implemented and maintained, including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, regulatory compliance, staffing, payroll & benefit administration.
  • Develops objectives both short term and long term, to manage the day-to-day efforts of the depot team to ensure a high level of responsiveness, flexibility and efficiency in achieving goals in a results-driven environment.
  • Fill-in for depot personnel as necessary due to absenteeism, vacation, sick, etc. and to meet depot needs.
  • Responsible for the housekeeping and general cleanliness of the depot.
